The famous Bi Luo Chun. A stark and unforgiving beauty. It delivers pure green freshness, slightly floral aromatics, but a powerful and discerning mouthfeel that can overcome the careless. The attentive steep will be rewarded with its richness.
This year’s lot is excellent! Harvested and produced April 8, 2025 by Mr. Zhang Jianshe in Donghe Village, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It’s a one bud, one leaf pick of local cultivar growing at approximately 300 feet. The Chinese name Bi Luo Chun (jade, spiral shell, spring) comes from its spiral shell-like appearance, which requires a strenuous sequence of rolling and shaping.
