Decaf Earl Grey keeps the familiar bergamot lift of Earl Grey on a smooth decaffeinated black-tea base. It is a lower-caffeine cup for later afternoons and evenings, not a caffeine-free tea.
Bright · Citrusy · Smooth
Who it suits
Choose it if you enjoy Earl Grey aroma but want less caffeine than the regular black-tea version. If you need a naturally caffeine-free cup, Earl Grey Rooibos is the clearer alternative.
Ingredients
Decaffeinated black tea, cornflower petals, natural bergamot flavouring.
Brewing guide
- Amount: 2.5 g (about 1 teaspoon) per 250 ml
- Water: Freshly boiled, 100°C
- Time: 2–3 minutes
Taste at two minutes. For more body, use a little more leaf next time rather than leaving it until the cup turns dry. Try it plain first; a small splash of milk is optional.
Brewing in a mug?
Our basket infuser with lid gives loose leaves room to open. Lift it out when your tea is ready, then rest it in the upturned lid. Check your mug’s opening against the measurements on the infuser page.
Caffeine
Decaffeinated does not mean caffeine-free. A trace can remain, and we do not have a measured amount for this product.
