Harney & Sons Tea Strainer – Silver Plated, Short Handle

Brew loose leaf tea freely and pour a clean, leaf-free cup with the Harney & Sons Tea Strainer, Silver Plated with a short handle. A basket-style tea infuser keeps leaves confined while they steep. This strainer works at the pour instead, so leaves can move around in your teapot or cup and are caught as the tea flows out.

Why You’ll Love This Harney & Sons Strainer

• Room for the leaves: Let loose leaf tea steep in the pot, then hold the strainer over your cup to catch the leaves as you serve.
• Easy to handle: The short handle keeps the strainer compact and comfortable to hold, and a nest design keeps it steady while you pour.
• A polished look: Lead-free silver plating over a brass base gives everyday tea service a refined finish, whether you’re pouring one cup or serving guests.
• Fits your teaware: Its small size suits both delicate teacups and full-sized teapots.
• Works with any loose tea: Use it for green tea, black tea, white tea, herbal blends and more.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the Harney & Sons Silver Plated Tea Strainer different from a tea infuser ball?
An infuser ball stays in the water and holds the leaves in a small space while they steep. This strainer is used during the pour. The leaves brew loose in your pot or cup, and the strainer catches them as the tea passes through.

Can I use the Harney & Sons Silver Plated Tea Strainer with a teapot that already has a strainer?
Yes. It can serve as a second catch when you pour from a teapot. It also works as your main strainer when you brew loose leaf tea directly in a pot or cup.

What is the Harney & Sons Silver Plated Tea Strainer made of?
It has a brass base with a lead-free silver-plated finish.
