特级白毫银针· Ming Qian Silver Needle
Handcrafted and traditionally sun-dried, the fourth-generation Zhang Lixiong. Professor Zhang was honored in 2024 as an Intangible Cultural Asset in Fuding White Tea production and aging. He is a national-level 1 tea taster and a Senior Engineer in Tea Manufacturing, and he already holds another Intangible Heritage award for Bailin Gonfu Black tea making.
Super Fine Yin Zhen Silver Needle is a premium white tea made solely from plump, downy single buds, processed by Zhang Lixiong through a meticulous eight-step craft passed down since 1929. The process begins with spring plucking of tender buds before Qingming, followed by a 72‑hour compound withering (alternating sun and indoor drying), piling for gentle fermentation, initial baking, sorting, and a slow re‑baking to reduce moisture to about 6%. Finally, the tea is sealed and stored using Zhang Rang Ji’s patented method (ZL202210994732.1), which controls temperature, humidity, and light to preserve its signature downy honey fragrance, mellow taste, and aging potential.
