This exceptional Bizen teapot is a masterpiece that encapsulates the region’s characteristic clay-making and specialized firing techniques. Its visual appearance is distinctly Bizen; however, its shape surpasses any other teapot crafted there. Each teapot is remarkably lightweight, weighing only 300 grams, and is equipped with a handcrafted strainer featuring 400 to 600 holes. The strainer is seamlessly integrated into the body’s opening, ensuring an unobstructed flow that enhances the overall brewing experience. Every piece is unique, displaying melted ash textures, hidasuki rope markings, and red and black scorch marks. Every perspective reveals intricate details to be appreciated over time.
