Black Forest Gateaux is a flavoured loose-leaf black tea with cocoa depth, red-fruit aroma and a clean tea finish. It takes its cue from the cake without pretending to contain sponge, cream or syrup.
Chocolatey · Fruity · Indulgent
Ingredients
Black tea, pomegranate, cherry stems, moringa, cocoa beans, cranberry, cornflower and safflower petals, natural flavours.
The declaration names cherry stems rather than whole cherries and does not state ingredient percentages or the composition of the natural flavours. Ask us to check the current pack specification if a flavouring source or allergen detail matters to you.
Brewing guide
- Amount: 2.5 g (about 1 teaspoon) per 250 ml
- Water: freshly boiled water (100°C)
- Time: 2 minutes
Stir the pouch gently before measuring, give the blend room in a basket infuser and strain completely. Taste it plain first; a small splash of milk is optional. If it is too light, use a little more leaf or add 30 seconds next time rather than stewing it.
For iced tea, use 5 g in 150 ml of boiling water for 2 minutes, strain over a full glass of ice, then top with cold water.

Black Forest Gateaux FAQs
Does it contain caffeine? Yes. The black-tea base naturally contains caffeine; no measured amount per cup is available.
Is it sweet? The aroma is dessert-like, but no sugar or sweetener is listed. Brewed plain, it is a dry black tea.
Can I add milk? Yes, although we suggest tasting it plain first. A small splash softens the tea; too much may hide the fruit and cocoa contrast.
How should I store it? Keep the pouch sealed in a cool, dry, dark place away from strong aromas.
