Kukicha – Green Twig Tea
Kukicha – Green Twig Tea is a blend of stems, stalks, and twigs from the Camellia Sinensis tea plant. Kukicha has a unique mild flavour and aroma among green teas, due to its being composed of parts of the tea plant that are not commonly used to create tea. The tea is low in astringency and has a mildly nutty and slightly creamy sweet flavour. Also known in Japan by its alternative name Bōcha.
Kukicha is naturally low in caffeine and contains various minerals like calcium, magnesium, and potassium, which are important for macrobiotic health. It is a popular choice for people who follow a macrobiotic diet.
