Discover the distinctive character of Liu An Gua Pian, one of China’s celebrated traditional green teas, originating from the mountainous region of Anhui Province. Also known as Lu’an Melon Seed Tea, it takes its name from its beautifully shaped, flat leaves, which resemble melon seeds.
Carefully crafted using traditional techniques, this exceptional green tea offers a wonderfully smooth and rounded flavour, combining fresh vegetal notes with a gentle roasted chestnut aroma. Its mellow character and natural sweetness lead to a clean, lingering finish, creating a satisfying cup that is both refreshing and comforting.
Unlike many Chinese green teas made primarily from tender buds, Liu An Gua Pian is produced from individual leaves, giving it a distinctive depth of flavour and a character all of its own.
