Genmaicha, created in the 15th century by adding rice to tea to reduce cost, offers nutty, toasty, and green flavors with a rich body that complements meals.

Fun Fact:  Genmaicha is often brewed in large bowls in Japan. The puffed rice is called “blossom” or “flower” and can be enjoyed with or sieved out of the brew.
