Organic Welsh Tea Seeds 2026

2026 seed is now being sent out when ordered.

We only supply tea seeds from late September through to the end of December. Purchasing freshly harvested UK-sourced seed in autumn and early winter ensures the best viability and germination.

Whether you’re growing a plant for the occasional cup of tea at home, experimenting with a small garden plot, or exploring larger scale production, seed is a really good way to start.

At Peterston Tea, the majority of our plants have been grown from seed. Seed-grown tea plants offer strong root development, good adaptation to local conditions and natural genetic diversity — all qualities that can be particularly valuable in the UK climate.

Our seeds are produced from organically grown Camellia sinensis plants here at Peterston Tea in South Wales.

We can also germinate seed for supply as young seedlings each Spring, please get in touch if you would like further details.
