Technically perfect and a pleasure to use!
Selecting the perfect gaiwan can be overwhelming for both novice and seasoned tea enthusiasts. Despite its seemingly simple design, various factors distinguish gaiwans from one another. Our minimalist gaiwan was chosen for its ideal size and easy handling. Its thin yet sturdy walls make it lightweight yet spacious enough for multiple cups. It is the preferred vessel for brewing Chinese teas such as oolong, puerh, hong cha, and even white teas.
The minimal style and color of this gaiwan allow it to be matched with cups, pitchers, and trays full of character while keeping the focus and attention on the simple beauty of the tea nestled inside.
Matching teacup is available for separate purchase.
