A sturdy, unglazed ceramic gaiwan made from Duan Ni clay – a traditional Yixing clay known for its light, porous texture and earthy tone.
It has a coarse, stone-like texture and dark, earthy finish. Its thicker walls retain heat well, lending themselves to deeper, slower brews. Slightly raw in feel but refined in form, it’s a satisfying piece to hold and pour from – ideal for oolongs, red teas, or anything you want to sit with.
If you don’t want to dedicate it to a single tea, just rinse well between sessions
