About the Cheese
Connage Clava brie is an award-winning brie-style cheese, handcrafted on a family-run organic farm by the shores of the Moray Firth. Named after the ancient burial cairns of Balnuaran of Clava, its soft circular form echoes these prehistoric stone rings found nearby.
Made with pasteurised milk from a single herd of Holstein Friesian and Norwegian Red cows, Clava is gently hand-ladled and carefully matured before being individually wrapped. The result is a brie of real character: smooth, creamy and earthy, with a subtle grassy note. As it ripens, the texture becomes increasingly soft and luscious, developing a deeper, buttery richness while retaining a cool, elegant freshness.
Suitable for vegetarians, it is a fine expression of thoughtful Scottish cheesemaking and a beautiful addition to any cheeseboard.
