About the Cheese
Tête de Moine, meaning “Monk’s Head,” is a famous Swiss cheese known for its unique presentation and delightful nutty flavour. Its history dates back to the 12th century, originating from the Bellelay monastery.
Made from raw cow’s milk in the Alpine region of Jura, Tête de Moine boasts a firm and smooth paste with a full, nutty flavour similar to Gruyere.
This artisan cheese is traditionally shaved into beautiful rosettes using a Girolle machine, enhancing its rich and aromatic profile.
